The BYD Sealion 7 comes equipped with a factory Dynaudio system that provides a strong hardware foundation, but like many OEM premium systems, its performance is limited by factory processing and tuning. The soundstage remains low, vocals can lack height and focus, and the system does not fully deliver the openness, control and balance expected from a genuinely high-end setup.

Our plug-and-play upgrade is designed to unlock more performance from the existing Dynaudio system while maintaining clean factory integration. Built around the Goldhorn AB218 DSP amplifier, it connects directly to the vehicle’s A²B digital audio network through a vehicle-specific plug-and-play harness, providing greater control over how the entire system performs.

The DSP comes preconfigured with OSCA-developed settings, including an all-seat audio tune, providing a strong vehicle-specific foundation from installation. The result is a cleaner, more controlled and more natural listening experience, with clearer vocals, tighter bass and a wider, better-focused soundstage.

The Goldhorn AB218 combines multi-channel amplification with advanced digital signal processing, while the dedicated A²B harness provides clean, direct integration with the Sealion 7 factory audio network. Important Compatibility & Installation Information

  • This is an aftermarket, vehicle-specific integration package. It is not a tool-free or no-skill accessory.
  • “Plug-and-play” describes the connector-based integration with the factory audio system. Installation still requires interior trim removal, secure equipment mounting, correctly fused 12-volt power and earth connections, cable routing, and vehicle-system awareness.
  • The package has been developed and validated only for Australian-delivered BYD Sealion 7 vehicles fitted with the factory Dynaudio audio system.
  • Compatibility is not confirmed for other markets, configurations, prior audio modifications, replacement speakers or vehicle variants unless OSCA confirms it in writing.
  • Professional installation by an authorised Goldhorn dealer or suitably competent automotive audio technician is strongly recommended. Self-installation should only be attempted by a person who can safely remove and refit vehicle trim, install and test protected automotive 12-volt circuits, recognise and avoid high-voltage and SRS components, follow wiring diagrams and installation instructions.
  • Do not purchase this package for self-installation if you cannot satisfy every one of those requirements.
  • The supplied OSCA calibration (tuning file) must not be reset, overwritten or altered by an unqualified person. Changes to signal routing, gain, crossover, equalisation, polarity, delay, limits, firmware or output allocation may remove protective settings, disable audio functions or damage the amplifier, factory speakers or other equipment.
  • This package is not manufactured, approved, or warranted by BYD or Dynaudio.

Will this work with the factory Dynaudio system?

Yes. This upgrade is specifically designed to integrate with the existing BYD OEM Dynaudio system using native A2B signal integration.

Do you cut any factory wiring?

No. This is a plug-and-play installation with no factory wire cutting.

Will factory features still work?

Yes. Key built-in functions such as steering wheel controls and active noise cancellation remain operational.

Will this void my warranty?

Because the installation is plug and play and does not require cutting factory wiring, it is designed to avoid the common risks associated with invasive aftermarket installs. For formal warranty interpretation, the final decision always sits with the manufacturer or dealer.

What is the main improvement over stock?

The biggest differences are better soundstage height, clearer vocals, more controlled bass, and a more refined overall presentation. The sound feels less trapped in the doors and more properly placed in the cabin.

Is this just a louder version of the factory system?

No. It will improve output, but the real gain is in control, staging, clarity, and balance. It sounds more complete, not just louder.

How long does installation take?

Installation is relatively fast compared with a conventional custom system because the package is designed for seamless integration (usually no more than 1 day). Exact timing can be confirmed at booking.
