Most high-priced RCAs still use conventional solid insulation around the conductor, which can store and release energy and become a variable in the signal path. Air dielectric is a deliberate “no-compromise” choice because it replaces a lot of that insulation with air, so the cable’s behaviour is driven more by geometry and conductor quality than by the dielectric material itself. In practice, it’s the kind of construction you only see when a brand is chasing maximum signal integrity rather than convenience, cost, or durability-first manufacturing and it’s one of the clearest tells that this isn’t a dressed-up generic RCA.
